Career Two

After retiring from the Army in 2000 I worked as a Program Manager and Business Developer in the learning technology field prior to starting Training Modernization Group in July 2002. I started TMG with two business partners and we ran a company with seven years of profitability. TMG is a Management Consulting firm specializing in improving the workforce. I worked with companies and organizations to create positive changes in the way they did business. I worked with large organizations (19,000 employees) as well as smaller firms. I helped welders, aircraft mechanics, oil field workers, and numerous other trades. I sold my shares of the company to my partners in 2009 and decided to pursue a passion of mine and begin another career in the Fitness and Health Promotion industry.

Career One

I entered the Army from the United States Military Academy at West Point. I wanted to be a soldier ever since I was a small child and I spent 20 years doing it and loving every day I served. I was a Light Infantryman – physical fitness was a job requirement. I trained the soldiers I led in all aspects of fitness and health. I retired from the U.S. Army in June of 2000 as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving twenty years in various Infantry and Joint Staff positions throughout the world. My wide variety of assignments included postings at multiple locations within the continental United States as well as one tour of duty in Germany and two tours of duty in Hawaii. I am a former military parachutist and a graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger School.

I have been training people since 2009 - independently and as a Personal Trainer on the staff of Life Time Fitness. I love what I do. I am fascinated by human movement and have dedicated myself to helping people meet their fitness goals.

“…I am so grateful to have found Rob and his philosophy of successful aging.”
